Everyone at High Spa Angus in Daylesford extend New Year wishes to all for 2019 to be a kinder year with weather and market conditions. Thoughts are with those farmers still suffering from long term drought throughout parts of Australia.
An open day and sale will be held at the usual Daylesford open day venue on Sunday, January 27TH Day 2 of Stock and Land Beef Week 2019 with a focus on bulls
Bulls for maiden heifers are always keenly sought after at the Summer Beef Week Open Day for May/June joining along with bigger growth bulls for established cow herds and also multi-purpose bulls. There will be plenty of all available with an exciting group of (predominantly) March 2018 born yearlings that will be ready to work in April/May of 2019 along with 2017 autumn and spring born working age bulls. Visitors can select their bulls at the open day for delivery closer to when they are required for mating. You are invited to pick your bull out “on paper” by examining background pedigree and ebv’s on High Spa’s regularly updated website www.highspa.com.au.
Every animal on display and for sale will have detailed pedigree and ebv information available.
A small group of sale, select PTIC heifers will be on display.
High Spa advises that Angus Australia have a new system for sourcing animal information to protect the integrity of their data base, and for best access to all pedigree, ebv and other details it would be advantageous to sign up to make full use of the available data (if you are not already registered as an AA member) It is not difficult to do so if you are not, here is a link that explains the steps to take:
High Spa thanks Boehringer Ingelheim (Eclipse & Eprinex) for providing a “Lucky Gate Prize” of Eprinex to one lucky visitor who walks through the gate on the day.
